My exclusive client, with its HO based in Lymm Cheshire, is a fast growing and highly successful group of Engineering Services SMEs with combined turnover now over £50m. The Group CFO seeks a hands-on and technically sound qualified accountant to support the Central Finance team - this will be a Fractional 2-3 day per week role for an initial fixed term 6 month Contract period. To be clear, this will be a 100% site-based role here in Lymm due to the hands-on responsibilities and direct mentoring of the Central Finance team.
Reporting directly to the Group CFO, key responsibilities/challenges will include:
- Coach and develop the Central Finance team.
- Finance and Operational systems improvements in line with the ongoing business growth and development.
- Ensure the timely and robust month-end accounts production for each of the individual 8 profit centre SME entities, plus monthly consolidated accounts.
- Oversee Balance Sheet and Accounts reconciliations.
- Set up and develop the financial reporting requirements for a new start-up European subsidiary.
- Support the development of KPI business performance reports.
Candidate profile:
- Hands-on qualified accountant with strong Accounting and systems/excel skills having operated within a similar Group environment with Consolidation reporting experience; specific sector experience is not important.
- This role will suit someone looking for either a part-time role (2-3 days/week) or a Fractional Accountant with minimum 2 days/wk availability and able to commit for the duration of this initial 6 month Contract.
- As stated, this will be a 100% site based role - therefore, you must be located with easy commutable range of the Lymm HO.
- The successful candidate will also need to be able to start by 18th May latest or sooner if available.
My client has budgeted a professional day rate of c £500/day.
