As a growing business with a dynamic team, we are now seeking an experienced Loss Assessor to join us in the region west of the M25 to Swindon, north to Oxford and south to Winchester.
Exceptional candidates further west to Bristol will also be considered.
About the Role
As a Loss Assessor at Morgan Clark, you will manage residential and commercial property claims, guiding policyholders through the claims process from start to finish.
You will conduct site visits, liaise with insurers, contractors, brokers, and other relevant parties, and negotiate settlements to secure fair and timely outcomes.
This is a home-based role supported by a dedicated back-office team, giving you the autonomy to manage your own caseload while being part of a collaborative and supportive company.
Ideal Candidate Location
We are ideally looking for someone based within our operating area, covering the region west of the M25 to Swindon, north to Oxford and south to Winchester.
Exceptional candidates further west to Bristol will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction at every stage of the claims process.
- Provide efficient, customer-focused, and cost-effective service by managing claims from initiation through to completion.
- Investigate and assess residential and commercial property claims up to £1m.
- Produce detailed reports following each visit, manage your diary, and handle your own caseload independently.
- Negotiate settlements with insurers on behalf of policyholders.
- Build relationships with brokers, insurers, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and company procedures.
- What We’re Looking For
- CILA or CII qualification (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Minimum five years' experience handling domestic and commercial property claims as a Loss Assessor or Loss Adjuster
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to independently manage a large and varied caseload
- Excellent client relationship skills and a professional, calm approach
- Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships at all levels
- Methodical, conscientious, and adaptable, especially during surge periods
