Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC grinding machines (surface, cylindrical or internal grinding, as applicable)
- Load and unload parts, fixtures, and tooling
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing components within tolerances
- Perform machine offsets and basic program edits as needed
- Select, dress, and change grinding wheels and tooling
- Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators)
- Verify parts meet dimensional, surface finish, and quality requirements
- Document inspection results and production data
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience operating and programming CNC grinding machines
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Knowledge of Super Abrasives advantageous as well as Tungsten Carbide experience
- Would consider people with a wood turning background within a jobbing shop environment
