2 x General Operative – CMM Department – Location: Corby, UK
Pay: £12.30 per hour (increasing to £12.60 on successful completion of probation period and training) PM Shift has an extra 90p per hour Shift allowance
Full-time | 37.5 hours per week
Shifts Available:
1 x Morning Shift: Monday – Thursday (6am – 2pm), Friday (6am – 11:30am)
1 x Afternoon Shift: Monday – Thursday (2pm – 10pm), Friday (11:30am – 5pm)
Join our CMM department at Morgan Advanced Materials, Corby, where we produce ceramic cores primarily for the aerospace sector. We are looking for a General Operative to;
- Set up machines with the correct program and tooling.
- Record measurement number details on each core.
- Separate cores that have passed operation from those which have failed.
- Support other departments as required
Idealling with experience of working in CMM and or quality control. However, not essentatil as we offer full training to develop your skills in a high-volume, quality-driven production environment.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
CMM- Quality
- Work with ceramic components.
- Follow Standard Process Instructions (SPI) to ensure consistency and quality.
- Perform visual checks to ensure products meet the required standards.
Production & Efficiency
- Accurately complete batch/routing cards before moving products to the next stage.
- Use machines and specialist tools where required.
- Report issues or defects to maintain production quality.
Safety & Organisation
- Follow ‘think SAFE’ procedures and report any health and safety concerns.
- Keep your work area clean and tidy at all times.
- Be open to job rotation and support across various departments as needed.

- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment (useful but not essential)
