What's the job?

You’ll take responsibility for leading and developing a team of Technical Sales Advisors, ensuring customers receive consistently high-quality technical support while also supporting your own customer base and contributing to UK market growth. This is a people-focused leadership role combining coaching, operational oversight, and commercial input.

Day to day, you’ll be:

  • Leading, coaching and mentoring a UK-wide team of Technical Sales Advisors
  • Setting performance expectations and supporting individual development
  • Overseeing technical support across biological control, IPM and pollination
  • Ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting and CRM usage
  • Supporting account growth and identifying new business opportunities
  • Maintaining strong relationships with key industry stakeholders
  • Acting as the link between the technical sales team, senior management and international specialists
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding of new team members
  • Representing the business at industry events and meetings

This is a home-based role with regular travel and overnight stays during the working week.

What do I need?

  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role within technical horticulture
  • Strong technical understanding of biological crop protection and IPM
  • FACTS and/or BASIS desirable (training available)
  • Excellent communication and people-management skills
  • Ability to motivate, develop and inspire technical teams
