The Role
As a Turf Harvest Operator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring products are harvested safely, efficiently, and to the high standards customers expect. Working as part of the harvest team, you'll operate specialist machinery, prepare orders for dispatch, and help ensure daily production targets are achieved. Key Responsibilities
Harvesting & Production
- Operate turf harvesting machinery safely and efficiently
- Cut and prepare turf to customer specifications
- Follow daily production schedules and delivery requirements
- Maintain high standards of product quality and presentation
- Assist with pallet preparation and dispatch activities
Machinery & Equipment
- Carry out daily machinery checks before operation
- Complete routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment running efficiently
- Identify and report faults or breakdowns promptly
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machinery issues in the field where appropriate
- Operate forklifts when required (training and certification dependent)
Teamwork & Communication
