Plant Area Supervisor | Hertfordshire Salary: DOE Are you an experienced horticultural professional with strong plant knowledge and experience leading a team? We're working with an established independent garden centre looking for a Plant Area Supervisor to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who knows their plants, enjoys working with people and is ready to take on more responsibility within a busy plant area. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support the plant area team, helping to maintain strong standards of customer service and presentation. Use your plant knowledge to advise customers confidently on plant selection, care and maintenance. Ensure excellent standards of plant care across the department, including watering, pruning and general maintenance. Support with stock management, ordering and availability. Maintain attractive, commercial displays that showcase the plant range and help drive sales. Help develop and motivate the team, sharing your horticultural knowledge and leading from the front. What We're Looking For Strong practical plant and horticultural knowledge. Previous experience working within a garden centre, nursery or similar horticultural environment. Experience supervising, leading or supporting a team. A hands-on approach and willingness to get involved in the day-to-day running of the department. Strong customer service and communication skills. Commercial awareness and an understanding of what makes a successful plant area. Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as part of the garden centre rota. This could suit an experienced Plant Area Supervisor, Plant Area Team Leader or someone currently working in a senior horticultural position who is ready for their next step. Apply Now!
