This is a hands-on maintenance role focused on tooling systems across multiple production lines. Less theory. More fixing things under pressure while production waits for you to be a hero.
What you will be doing:
- You will be the person who keeps production from turning into a very expensive standstill.
- Carry out planned inspections and preventative maintenance on tooling systems.
- Jump on breakdowns and get lines back up before downtime becomes a problem with numbers attached to it.
- Support fast changeovers and line adjustments to keep production moving.
- Diagnose faults on mechanical and electrical systems without needing a full committee meeting first.
- Calibrate and fine-tune equipment so it actually does what it is supposed to do.
- Work closely with production to remove repeat issues and reduce downtime.
- Keep maintenance records up to date, because someone will ask eventually.
- Work safely, even when everything around you is trying its best not to be.
- Stay ahead of equipment issues instead of waiting for them to announce themselves loudly.
What you need to bring:
- If you can already fix things properly, you will be fine. If you like guessing, you will suffer.
