I am working with a well-established fresh produce business that supplies time-sensitive products to customers across the UK. They are looking for a Transport Planner to join their logistics team and play a key role in ensuring customer orders are delivered on time, in full and to the highest service standards. This is a fast-paced planning role where you'll be responsible for coordinating deliveries to customers nationwide. While inbound transport routes are already established, you'll be managing the movement of products from site to customers, working closely with internal teams, hauliers and customer service colleagues to keep everything running smoothly. The business operates a mix of its own fleet for local deliveries and a network of third-party logistics providers across the UK. As a result, you'll need to be confident managing multiple transport partners, balancing vehicle utilisation and ensuring the most efficient delivery solutions are in place. What you'll be doing: Planning and coordinating daily customer deliveries Managing multi-drop transport operations through a range of hauliers and 3PL providers Monitoring deliveries and proactively resolving issues before they impact customers Working closely with production, dispatch and customer service teams Identifying opportunities to improve transport processes and efficiency Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, hauliers and customers Supporting high service levels during peak trading periodsWhat they're looking for: Previous experience in transport planning, logistics or distribution Experience managing multi-drop delivery operations Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving Someone who can identify issues early and take action before they become problems Good commercial awareness and an eye for continuous improvement Experience working with transport management systems and ExcelThe package: Salary up to £45,000 Monday to Friday No weekend working Bank holiday working required during the season Typical working week of around 39 hours, with additional hours accrued and returned through the company's time-back scheme Opportunity to work in a business where you can genuinely influence and improve processesIf you're an experienced Transport Planner looking for a role where you can make an impact and drive improvements, I'd be keen to speak with you.
