The Opportunity

We're looking for a Land Referencer or Senior Land Referencer to join a rapidly expanding Land Referencing team working on nationally significant infrastructure projects. Whether you're already operating at Senior level or looking to step up, this is a chance to join a newly developed team with huge scope for growth, progression and technical development.

You'll work across a wide range of utilities and infrastructure schemes - from small solar projects to major reservoir, energy and transport programmes - supporting the delivery of high-quality land referencing for DCOs, CPOs and TWAOs. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys detail, data, legislation, land, and stakeholder engagement, and wants to build a long-term career in the infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and quality-assuring data entered into the ownership database
  • Developing and applying land referencing methodologies and processes
  • Overseeing teams and processes used for site visits
  • Interpreting and analysing land and title data
  • Reviewing complex title documents and integrating findings into Book of Reference schedules
  • Liaising closely with GIS and project delivery teams
  • Attending client meetings and providing progress updates
  • Reporting to clients and internal teams on project status

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Degree in Geography, Land Surveying, or a related land discipline
  • Proven experience in land referencing on major projects (DCO/CPO/TWAO)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and team members simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills with confidence engaging internal teams, clients and landowners
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • People management experience
  • Experience using mobile data collection tools
  • Knowledge of GIS systems and FME
