An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a progressive mixed farming business in Oxfordshire. This is not your typical farm worker role. We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, wants to learn every aspect of a modern farming enterprise, and is interested in the future of sustainable and regenerative agriculture. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their agricultural career who wants exposure to every aspect of a modern farming business and is keen to develop into a future management role.
Working directly alongside an experienced and supportive Farm Manager, you'll gain hands-on experience across livestock, arable, estate management and the wider commercial side of the business. The farm includes arable land, woodland, environmental areas and a growing livestock enterprise, offering genuine variety and responsibility from day one. The business regularly works alongside well known names within the agricultural sector, creating excellent opportunities to build your professional network and gain exposure to innovative farming practices, field trials and the latest developments in modern agriculture.
The Role
This is a genuine all-rounder position where no two days are the same. Responsibilities will include:
- Livestock husbandry and grazing management
- Drilling, cultivations and harvest operations
- Grassland management
- Fencing and general farm and estate maintenance
- Operating and maintaining modern farm machinery
- Supporting environmental and regenerative farming initiatives
Alongside the practical work, you'll gain exposure to:
- Farm accounts and financial management
- Budgeting and business planning
- Grant applications and stewardship schemes
- Crop rotations and strategic decision-making
- Estate management
- Soil health monitoring and regenerative agriculture
- On-farm research projects and field trials
This role is ideal for someone who wants to understand not only how a farm operates, but how and why key decisions are made.
About You
We're open-minded about experience and background. You may be a recent agricultural graduate, come from a livestock background, be working on a family farm, or simply be looking to build the experience needed for a future management role. Most importantly, you'll be:
