As Head of Technical Compliance & Sustainability, you will take ownership of the technical strategy and be responsible for leading the technical team, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance are maintained across the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established food manufacturing business. You will:

  • Lead and develop a technical team of five, coaching and supporting them to deliver high standards.
  • Take ownership of the technical and quality strategy, ensuring compliance with all food safety and retailer standards.
  • Manage and maintain the Quality Management System, ensuring audit readiness at all times.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Lead customer and third-party audits.
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure quality and compliance across the supply chain.
  • Drive a solutions‑focused, can‑do culture across the technical function.
  • Support continuous improvement across food safety, quality, and technical processes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a senior technical leadership role within Fresh Produce/ Food Manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of retailer standards and requirements.
  • Experience managing and developing technical teams.
  • Agronomic knowledge or experience would be advantageous.
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • HACCP and Food Safety qualifications are desirable.
