Quality Assurance / Fresh Produce / Kent £45k About the Role: Are you ready to lead and drive quality assurance for this outstanding fresh produce business? We are looking for an experienced and dedicated QA Manager to manage the QA team, ensuring customer standards are met while enhancing production yields. This role is central to upholding their commitment to food safety, product quality, and process compliance in line with both site and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: QA Team Management: Lead the QA team to support daily operations, allocate resources, and ensure timely and effective decision-making. Product Quality: Collaborate with site operations to ensure our products meet customer specifications and standards, with a focus on minimizing waste and optimizing yields. Product Packaging: Oversee packaging and labelling processes, ensuring compliance with legal and customer requirements. Audit Compliance: Conduct and lead audits, ensuring our site remains ‘Audit Ready,’ and collaborate on industry-standard reviews. Training and Development: Mentor and train QA staff to foster a culture of Total Quality Management and support staff training on food safety and quality. Continuous Improvement Projects: Act as a subject matter expert on systems (Prophet and OAL Autocoding), promoting operational efficiencies and compliance. What We’re Looking For: Strong leadership and communication skills with experience in Quality Assurance, ideally within food production, fresh produce or related industry. Knowledge of quality, food safety, and compliance standards, including auditing experience with the food / fresh produce industry Proven ability to drive process improvement and manage cross-functional relationships.
