We're looking for an Architect or Building Surveyor to join our Architecture & Building Surveying team at Associate or Associate Director level. You'll work on a mix of conservation, rural estate and heritage projects, from historic building preservation to estate improvements and diversification schemes.

What you'll be doing:

  • Building surveys, design and technical specs
  • Principal Designer (CDM), party wall, dilapidations, planned maintenance
  • Contract admin and project monitoring
  • Tenders, contracts and procurement
  • Letters of Engagement, work specs, statutory consents, contractor appointments
  • Advice on conservation and historic / listed buildings

What we'd love to see:

  • CAD skills
  • Confidence managing client relationships
  • Ability to build rapport and spot new opportunities
  • Strong client care and communication
  • Good organisation and deadline management
  • Awareness of project management, Employer's Agent work and reinstatement cost assessments

Qualifications & requirements:

  • MRICS, CIOB, RIBA, MCABE, CIAT or equivalent
  • Understanding of financial cost management
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong knowledge of CDM 2015, BSA, building regs, H&S and contractor appointment processes

You'll join a friendly, multi‑disciplinary team working closely with rural planning, estate management, forestry, food & farming, renewables and more. Clients include private estates, landowners, institutions and charities, and no two projects are the same.
