A new opportunity has opened for a Building Surveyor to join a multi-disciplinary consultancy team delivering architecture and building surveying services across a diverse client base. You will be based in Perth, managing key projects with autonomy and collaborating across planning, energy, and estate teams.
The team works closely with colleagues in rural planning, estate management, forestry, professional consultancy, farms and estate sales, food and farming, and renewable energy. Clients include private individuals, rural estates, companies, institutions, and charities.
Your focus will be in the following areas:
- Contract administration and project monitoring
- Building surveys and report writing
- Schedules of Condition and planned preventative maintenance programmes
- Preparing tenders and contract documents
- Advising on appointing contractors, designers and procurement routes
- Preparing scheme designs, specifications of works and schedules of dilapidations
- Advising on the preservation/conservation of historic buildings
- Knowledge of CDM2015 and ensuring health and safety regulations are followed
- Demonstrating a genuine understanding of Professional building surveying
- Demonstrating an awareness of all RICS guidelines and best practices relating to: Party Wall, Project Management, Employers Agent, Reinstatement Cost Assessment
You will need:
- MRICS, CIOB, CIAT or equivalent
- CDM2015 and BSA knowledge
- Historic building conservation experience
- Commercial awareness and time management
- Full UK driving licence
