Your mission is the flawless execution of production. Step onto the floor, and you are the operational engine. You will lead, inspire, and coordinate a diverse, hardworking team of roughly 13 operatives, supported directly by an Assistant Team Leader. Your day is focused on optimization, workflow efficiency, and high standards:

  • Lead with Impact: You will manage daily workloads across key production stages: potting, spacing, disbudding, and in-block grading.
  • Drive Efficiency: You will track daily KPIs, manage labour planning, and implement Lean/5S principles to maximize throughput while minimizing downtime and material waste.
  • Bridge the Communication Gap: Leading a highly diverse, multicultural workforce, your strong verbal English and natural empathy will shine. You will translate operational goals into clear instructions, ensuring every team member—regardless of language barriers—feels included, safe, and motivated.
  • Nurture Talent: You will manage performance, training plans, and skills matrices, helping your team grow as professionals while spotting opportunities for continuous process improvement.

What You Bring to the Table: They can teach the specific operational nuances, but personality, leadership presence, and drive cannot be taught. If you are a collaborative, solution‑oriented leader who loves a fast‑paced environment, you will thrive here.

  • Proven Leadership Experience: You have a solid background managing teams within a production, manufacturing, warehousing, or fast‑paced logistics environment (horticulture experience is a bonus, but strong production leadership is what matters most).
  • An Efficiency Mindset: You understand production planning, labor control, and cost awareness, with an eye for continuous improvement (Lean/5S experience is highly beneficial).
  • Outstanding Communication Skills: You are a natural communicator capable of building respect and rapport across diverse, multi‑lingual teams.
  • A "Pitch‑In" Attitude: You lead from the front, solve problems practically, and champion high standards of health, safety, and workplace housekeeping.

What’s in It for You? A stable, day‑shift pattern with an early finish on Mondays. A structured quarterly bonus scheme to reward your team’s efficiency and performance. A supportive, family‑centric company culture that genuinely values staff development and continuous improvement.
