A leading rural property agency is seeking a commercially minded, ambitious Rural & Agricultural Property Sales Director to drive growth across Scotland's farm and land markets. This senior role is ideal for someone who thrives on winning instructions, selling rural assets, and generating new business. If you're a natural deal‑maker with strong rural market knowledge and a passion for building relationships, this position offers genuine influence, autonomy, and progression.
The Role: You'll lead on farm and land sales, expand market presence, and act as a key client‑facing figure within the agency team. The role centres on identifying opportunities, securing instructions, and delivering an exceptional service to buyers and sellers. This suits someone confident, proactive, and commercially sharp, with a strong understanding of rural property markets and the ability to build long‑term client relationships.
- Generate new business through networking, lead generation, and market research
- Secure market appraisals and sales instructions across rural and agricultural property
- Conduct viewings, manage sales progression, negotiate offers, and close deals
- Oversee property marketing - brochures, advertising, social media, PR
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with farmers, landowners, and rural businesses
- Attend industry events to expand your network and identify opportunities
- Collaborate across departments to cross‑sell services

About You: Experience in rural property, farm sales, land agency, or agricultural sales. Strong commercial mindset with proven business development success. Confident negotiator with excellent communication skills. Able to build rapport quickly and maintain long‑term client relationships. Knowledge of rural markets, farming communities, and land values. Highly organised, proactive, and motivated. Full UK driving licence. MRICS desirable but not essential.
