Our client is one of the UK's fastest-growing distributors within the horticultural sector. With continued expansion and ambitious plans ahead, they are seeking a dedicated finance professional to take ownership of the finance function. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving organisation, working closely with Directors and senior stakeholders to support and drive financial performance.
The Role
As a Management Accountant, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day finance operations while delivering meaningful financial insight to support business growth. This is a hands-on position, ideal for an ambitious individual seeking long-term progression with a rapidly developing company.
Main Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Producing meaningful management information and commentary for Directors.
- Supporting strategic business decisions through financial analysis and insight.
- Overseeing payroll processing and associated reporting.
- Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end duties.
- Working closely with operational teams to understand and support business performance.
- Running all financial transactions and payments.
- Continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
Required
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Part- or fully-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Confident working in a fast-paced and growing business environment.
- Payroll experience essential.
- Experience within the horticultural or distribution sector is beneficial but not essential.
Salary: 45,000
Location: Cannock (on-site role)
