Deputy Manager | Northampton Hours : Full-time, 50% Weekends Salary : DOE A well-established, family-run garden centre group are looking for a deputy manager to help with the day-to-day running of one of their sites. Working closely with the garden centre manager, you'll manage the plant & indoor manager while supporting a sizeable team in daily operations. No two days are the same in this fast-paced role, so if you enjoy leading people and being hands-on in a busy garden centre, keeping standards high, then this could be just the role! The Role: Supporting the day-to-day running of the garden centre alongside the Manager Directly managing the Plant Manager and Indoor Manager Leading and motivating the team to deliver excellent customer service and strong commercial results Supporting seasonal changes and bringing creative ideas to displays and layouts Acting as a keyholder, including opening, closing, and operational responsibilities Organising workloads and supporting the team during peak trading periods Assisting with ordering, performance analysis, rotas, and stock Supporting compliance across health & safety and company procedures About you: Previous experience working within a garden centre or DIY retail environment Some horticultural knowledge or interest is preferred Commercial awareness with an understanding of stock, sales, and admin A passion for retail and customer service People skills with the ability to motivate and organise a team Benefits: Be part of a highly regarded and growing group Supportive culture with opportunities for career development Staff discounts across products and restaurants 50% weekend work, providing a good work-life balance If you're interested in knowing more, please reach out to
