Senior QA / Technical Assistant - Career Development Opportunity Reporting to: QA Manager Ready for your next step in Quality? Are you an experienced QA professional looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity to join an expanding Quality team, where you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of product quality, food safety and compliance. This is more than a traditional QA position. Reporting directly to the QA Manager, you will take ownership of a broad range of quality and technical activities, work closely with the wider technical function and gain valuable experience across audits, CAPA, product quality, traceability, training and continuous improvement. Most importantly, this role has been created with career progression in mind. The plan is to develop the successful candidate towards a Technical Assistant or similar technical role from January 2027, subject to performance and successful development. What you'll be doing As a Senior QA, you will have a varied role with genuine responsibility, including: Customer Complaints: Monitor, investigate and trend customer complaints, identifying recurring issues and opportunities for improvement. Calibration: Take responsibility for the calibration and control of quality equipment, ensuring records are accurate and up to date. GMP Auditing: Conduct and coordinate GMP audits, ensuring standards are maintained and actions are followed through. Internal Audits: Assist with internal audits and support the site in maintaining a high level of audit readiness. Training: Maintain the site training matrix and coordinate training requirements to ensure colleagues have the necessary skills and knowledge. Laboratory Testing: Coordinate the site laboratory testing schedule, ensuring testing is completed accurately and within agreed timescales. Product Quality: Support Product Quality Monitoring and identify trends, risks and areas for improvement. Team Support: Assist with the day-to-day supervision and coordination of the Quality Team. Technical Administration: Provide technical support and administration to the Technical Manager and QA Manager. PPE: Maintain appropriate PPE stock levels and ensure availability across the site. Continuous Improvement: Support and lead improvement projects that strengthen quality, compliance and site performance. Promote a proactive approach to quality, food safety and health
