Technical Manager Permanent | Full-time This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading fresh produce business, playing a key role in managing customer relationships, maintaining product quality standards, and ensuring customer requirements are met throughout the supply chain. Working within a collaborative technical team, you'll be responsible for supporting customer accounts, managing technical compliance, and acting as a vital link between customers, growers, and operational teams. This role offers broad exposure across technical, commercial, and growing operations, giving you the opportunity to work closely with customers, internal stakeholders, and production teams while developing a deeper understanding of agriculture, crop production, and the fresh produce supply chain. What you'll be doing As a Technical Manager, your responsibilities will include: Managing day-to-day relationships with key customers and acting as a trusted technical contact. Supporting customer accounts by ensuring technical requirements and expectations are consistently met. Reviewing and managing customer specifications, ensuring information is accurate and up to date. Working closely with commercial teams to support customer relationships and business objectives. Collaborating with growers and operational teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the supply chain. Investigating customer complaints and quality issues, implementing effective corrective actions where required. Supporting customer visits, audits, and technical reviews. Monitoring compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory standards. Working alongside senior technical colleagues to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Providing technical support across the supply chain from growing and harvest through to product delivery. Building strong relationships with stakeholders across technical, commercial, growing, and operational functions. Developing a strong understanding of agricultural production, farming, and crop management practices. What we're looking for We're looking for an ambitious and customer-focused technical professional who enjoys building relationships and wants to broaden their experience across the fresh produce supply chain. You'll be confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels and be eager to expand your knowledge of growing, farming, and agricultural operations. Ideally, you'll have: Around 4-5 years' experience within the fresh produce or food manufacturing industry. Previous experience within a Technical, Customer Technical, Quality, or Technical Account Management role. Strong customer-facing experience and the ability to build lasting relationships. A fresh produce background. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving. The ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. A genuine interest in farming, growing, and agricultural operations.
