What's the job?
You'll take responsibility for leading and developing a team of Technical Sales Advisors, ensuring customers receive consistently high-quality technical support while also supporting your own customer base and contributing to UK market growth. This is a people-focused leadership role combining coaching, operational oversight, and commercial input.
Day to day, you'll be:
- Leading, coaching and mentoring a UK-wide team of Technical Sales Advisors
- Setting performance expectations and supporting individual development
- Overseeing technical support across biological control, IPM and pollination
- Ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting and CRM usage
- Supporting account growth and identifying new business opportunities
- Maintaining strong relationships with key industry stakeholders
- Acting as the link between the technical sales team, senior management and international specialists
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding of new team members
- Representing the business at industry events and meetings
This is a home-based role with regular travel and overnight stays during the working week.
What do I need?
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role within technical horticulture
- Strong technical understanding of biological crop protection and IPM
- FACTS and/or BASIS desirable (training available)
- Excellent communication and people-management skills
