Production/Packing Manager | Milling | Kettering Salary: £35k+ Shifts: Monday to Friday (Office Hours) Do you have experience working within a milling environment and have a clear passion for the implementation of CI methods working in a food manufacturing environment? Have you ever worked with Umbra Machinery? Or do you simply want to work regular hours within a state-of-the-art facility that has plenty of growth planned for the coming years? The company I am currently working with are offering a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in Packing or Milling to join their team in what can only be described as a dream role, with an attractive salary of up to £40k, a family-friendly shift pattern and great benefits. They also have clear progression opportunities which will become available as the company grows. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take that step up into a more senior managerial position as well as for them to demonstrate their ability to implement continuous improvement methods in order to raise performance across the shifts and look at reducing downtime. As a Production/Packing Manager, you will be working alongside the shift managers in a small team ensuring that the packing lines run smoothly and efficiently in order to minimalise backlog throughout the production process. You will be managing a team starting with 2 operatives per shift addressing inefficiencies and developing their skills. With a clear focus on driving efficiencies and process improvement, you will need to be numbers-driven. What you\’ll need: * A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management role * Experience implementing process improvement methods will be key for success * A background in either Packing or grain Milling is going to be essential to understanding the processes * Experience working on Umbra Machinery would be beneficial however is not essential * Confidence using MRP/ERP or SAP type system would be beneficial.
