I'm working with a leading agricultural business to find an Agricultural Area Manager to join its growing precision farming team. This is a role that sits somewhere between an agronomist and an account manager, combining technical knowledge of crop nutrition and precision farming with a strong commercial focus. You'll take ownership of an established customer base, with a big focus on soil sampling, field scanning and helping growers make better decisions around nutrient management and input use. There'll also be plenty of opportunity to bring on new business and grow your territory. One of the big selling points is the team behind you. With a large, dedicated precision farming team providing technical, IT and operational support, you'll be able to focus on building customer relationships and growing accounts, rather than trying to do everything yourself. What you'll be doing Managing and developing an established customer base, alongside winning new business. Selling precision farming services, particularly soil sampling and nutrient management. Advising growers on making better use of inputs, including nitrogen, phosphate and potash applications. Working closely with agronomists and grain traders across your region to identify opportunities. Managing your own territory and working towards clear sales targets. About you You'll have an agricultural background, with experience in sales, account management, agronomy or crop nutrition. You'll understand farming, enjoy working with growers and be comfortable combining technical conversations with a commercial approach. A FACTS qualification would be useful, but isn't essential, as support is available to gain it. If you're looking for a role that combines your agricultural knowledge with sales, and gives you the backing of a specialist team to grow your own patch, I'd love to have a chat.
