I'm working with a major UK glasshouse business to find a Senior Grower for one of their sites. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll take real ownership of crop performance across a high-tech site, focussing on tomatoes and cucumbers.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • You'll be the go-to person for everything growing-related on site, working closely with the Growing Director and Operations Manager to keep standards high and performance even higher.
  • Owning climate control, irrigation and crop steering to get the very best out of every plant.
  • Monitoring crop performance and making smart, timely adjustments.
  • Working closely with IPM teams to keep crops healthy and thriving.
  • Leading from the front - regular crop walks, supporting team leaders, and guiding growers.
  • Managing and developing 1-2 growers, helping them step up their game.
  • Keeping detailed crop records, forecasts and reports (without letting it take over your day).
  • Contributing to cropping strategy and longer-term planning.
  • Making sure energy, water and inputs are used as efficiently as possible.
