Graduate Technical Coordinator Ready to kick-start your career in Technical? Are you a recent graduate with an interest in food, fresh produce, quality or compliance? We're looking for a Graduate Technical Coordinator to join a busy multi-site fresh produce business, working closely with the Head of Quality & Compliance and an experienced technical team. You won't be expected to know everything from day one. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the technical side of a fresh produce business from the ground up, with training, mentoring and plenty of exposure across field operations, packhouses, coldstores, suppliers and customers. What will you learn? You'll get involved in a wide range of technical and quality activities, including: Food safety & quality - learning how technical standards are applied across the business and supporting teams to maintain high standards. Technical documentation - helping maintain procedures, specifications, records and customer information. Sampling & testing - coordinating product, water and soil sampling, reviewing results and following up any issues. Audits - supporting internal audits and learning how businesses prepare for BRCGS, Red Tractor, LEAF Marque and customer audits. Investigations - getting involved in complaints, non-conformances, root cause investigations and corrective actions. Traceability - supporting traceability exercises and mock recalls to understand how product moves from field to customer. Data & reporting - using Excel to analyse information, identify trends and help produce useful KPIs. Customer & supplier contact - building confidence communicating with customers, suppliers, laboratories and other technical stakeholders. Sustainability & compliance - gaining exposure to areas such as water, waste, energy, biodiversity, crop protection, greenhouse gas reporting and SEDEX. Product development - supporting packaging validation and shelf-life activities. You'll be given increasing responsibility as your knowledge and confidence develop. What are we looking for? We're much more interested in your potential than whether you already know everything. You could be a recent graduate in Food Science, Food Technology, Agriculture, Food Safety, Environmental Science, Biology or a related subject. Perhaps you've completed a placement, internship or university project in food, agriculture or quality - great. But it's not essential. We're looking for someone who is: Graduate or early-career, with a genuine interest in developing a career in Technical, Quality or Compliance Curious and keen to learn - you'll be asking plenty of questions and that's exactly what we want Organised and detail-focused, with the ability to keep on top of information and deadlines Comfortable using Excel and IT systems, or willing to learn A confident communicator who enjoys working with different people Proactive, positive and willing to get stuck in Able to travel between sites, so a full UK driving licence is required and full right to work in the UK Knowledge of HACCP, Food Hygiene, BRCGS, Red Tractor, LEAF Marque or ethical compliance would be useful, but don't worry if you haven't encountered all of these yet - you'll be supported and trained.
