What's the job?

You'll join the office-based sales team, handling day-to-day enquiries while also working closely with the Sales Manager on targeted business development. This isn't a cold-calling role; you'll inherit established customers, build strong relationships, and identify opportunities for growth, particularly within the container division.

Day to day, you'll be:

  • Managing and developing existing customer accounts
  • Acting as the main point of contact from enquiry through to delivery
  • Handling quotations, enquiries, and order processing
  • Providing great customer service and maintaining strong relationships
  • Supporting targeted business development across the nursery trade
  • Helping introduce and promote new product ranges
  • Visiting key customers (usually in summer) and meeting potential new clients
  • Attending trade shows such as Four Oaks
  • Using Growmaster (training provided) and Microsoft Office
  • Working as part of a small team where everyone supports each other.

This role is primarily office-based, Monday to Friday, with occasional overnight stays (around 4-5 short trips per year).

What do I need?

Experience in horticultural sales and account management. This could be supplying garden centres, nurseries, amenity, wholesale, or landscaping - either way, we want to hear from you.

Good plant knowledge (ornamentals, container, or bare root ideal), strong relationship-building and customer care skills, good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple enquiries, confident using Microsoft Office, comfortable working in a small, quiet office environment, and a full UK driving licence.
