Job Description
The Company
Our client is a progressive arable farming business located in the scenic Lincolnshire Wolds. The enterprise manages over 1,200 hectares of owned land plus additional contract-farmed acreage, operating with a modern machinery fleet and a strong focus on sustainable farming practices. Crops include feed wheat, malting barley, oilseed rape, beans, and vining peas, complemented by an extensive Countryside Stewardship and Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) scheme.
The business also maintains on site grain storage facilities, areas of commercial woodland, and a small residential property portfolio, offering a diverse and forward-thinking working environment.
What You Will Be Doing
This is a hands on, full time role within a skilled and supportive team. The successful candidate will take a lead role in cultivations, drilling, and general arable operations across the estate. Key responsibilities include:Operating the Quadtrac 620 for all drilling and cultivation tasksCarrying out cultivations using modern equipment, including Farmet, Sumo, and Lemken machineryDrilling using Vaderstad Rapid and Horsch Sprinter drillsFertiliser spreading in spring using a Case Optum and Amazone spreaderLoading grain lorries and assisting with grain storage operationsProviding relief spraying cover when required (not regularly)Supporting general farm and estate maintenance work as part of a small, close knit teamAn immediate start is available for the right person.
