Customer service sits at the heart of the organisation, with a strong focus on ensuring products are delivered to the right place, at the right time, and in the right condition.

Operating within a fast-paced and highly seasonal environment, the business is committed to continuous improvement, operational excellence and building long-term relationships with both customers and logistics partners.

The Opportunity

I am looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Logistics Operations Manager to lead the end-to-end transport operation.

This role will be a part of the senior leadership team and will be responsible for developing and delivering the logistics strategy, managing a network of third‑party transport providers, and ensuring the seamless movement of products throughout the UK and Europe.

This role is super interesting because of both the strategic thinking and hands‑on operational delivery which will be needed.

The successful candidate will lead and develop the logistics team while working closely with customer service and senior stakeholders to deliver exceptional service levels and a consistently positive customer experience.

You will have a lot of autonomy in this role and access to some fantastic internal teams who will help execute your plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the logistics team, driving a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Manage daily and weekly transport planning to deliver excellent OTIF performance.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics across the UK and Europe, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Build and manage a network of third‑party transport providers, overseeing performance, service levels and commercial agreements.
  • Partner with Customer Service and senior stakeholders to manage priorities, risks and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all transport, customs and excise requirements for UK and international shipments.
  • Monitor logistics costs and performance metrics, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service.
  • Maximise utilisation of distribution and logistics resources throughout the year through effective operational planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer service, operational performance and cost control.

About You

I’m interested in speaking with experienced logistics professionals who have a proven track record of leading transport operations within fast-moving, customer-focused environments.

  • Significant experience in transport planning, logistics and supply chain operations, including senior‑level management of third‑party haulage providers.
  • Proven ability to develop strategy and make commercially sound decisions that balance service, cost and operational requirements.
  • A hands‑on approach, with the ability to move comfortably between strategic leadership and day‑to‑day operational execution.
  • Strong knowledge of transport compliance, customs procedures and international logistics documentation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • Advanced experience using transport planning and routing systems, alongside strong Excel and analytical capabilities.
  • A data‑driven mindset, with experience monitoring and improving KPIs such as OTIF, service performance and cost efficiency.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure, lead through seasonal peaks and operational challenges, and consistently protect customer commitments.

If this role sounds like something of interest please feel free to apply.
