Are you a hands-on logistics leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you want to step up your career and grow into a Warehouse Manager? If you enjoy the autonomy of running a night operation where your decisions directly impact customer satisfaction the very next morning, this is the perfect next step for you. I am partnering with a leading food service distributor who is looking for a dynamic Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor or Leader. This company is a vital link in the food supply chain, ensuring essential ingredients reach businesses right when they need them. If you take pride in running a highly efficient, accurate night operation, love leading from the front, and are ready to be developed into a future manager, this is the perfect place to make your mark.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Run the night operations with a view to growing into full management responsibility, managing everything from inventory integrity to team performance.
  • Manage a team of operatives responsible for the full end-to-end supply chain of raw materials used in the food service industry.
  • Oversee goods-in receipt, despatch, inventory control, and procurement of consumables.
  • Maintain meticulous inventory management to ensure 100% traceability.
  • Be the bridge between the night and day.

What We’re Looking For

  • Logistics & Distribution Experience: Proven experience as a supervisor or Manager within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Backgrounds in food service distribution, wholesale, or multi-temp (chilled/frozen/ambient) environments are highly advantageous.
  • Team Leadership: A track record of managing small-to-medium teams. You should be a manager who leads by example, coaches your team, and knows how to maintain high morale during a night shift.
  • Inventory & Systems Savvy: Strong familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking tools. You need an analytical mindset.
  • Compliance & Safety First: A solid understanding of food safety standards (HACCP principles) and standard warehouse health and safety regulations. You will be responsible for ensuring the night shift operates safely and compliantly.
  • Operational Resilience: The night shift comes with unique challenges. We need someone adaptable, decisive, and capable of solving logistics bottlenecks on their feet without needing to elevate every issue.
  • Licensing (Desirable): Holding valid forklift licenses (Reach, Counterbalance, or PPT) or being qualified to train/assess your team on them is a major plus.
