What you'll be doing
- You’ll act as the technical lead across multiple product areas and accounts, ensuring quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction at every stage of the supply chain.
Key focus areas
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with retail customers
- Lead on audits, compliance, and customer standards (BRC, retailer COPs)
- Own customer portals, specifications, and technical KPIs
- Drive supplier performance, compliance, and risk management (HACCP, VACCP/TACCP, ethical)
- Lead quality improvement plans across product categories
- Analyse trends (complaints, rejections, KPIs) and deliver clear action plans
- Support innovation projects - varietals, packaging, sustainability, new tech
- Act as a key link between technical, commercial, and product teams
What we're looking for
- You’ll already be operating at Technical Manager level (or ready to step up) within food or fresh produce.
- You’ll bring strong food safety & quality systems knowledge (HACCP essential)
- Experience with retailers & customer-facing technical roles
