A well established and growing multi disciplinary consultancy service business is seeking an experienced Senior Forestry Professional to join its expanding team. Operating across Scotland and Northern England, the business delivers expert advice across rural and environmental sectors, supporting a diverse client base. What You Will Be Doing

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of rural forestry clients
  • Providing expert advice on woodland and forestry related matters
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities to drive growth
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Attending industry events to generate leads and expand your professional network
  • Supporting the development of new service lines, including areas such as GIS mapping
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact for clients, ensuring a high level of service delivery
  • Contributing to tenders, proposals, and marketing initiatives (including social media content)
  • Collaborating with colleagues across disciplines to identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
  • Contributing to business planning and departmental strategy
  • Ensuring compliance with professional standards, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements

What You Need

  • A relevant degree/Chartered Forester status
  • Proven experience in a similar forestry or rural environment role
  • Strong commercial awareness with demonstrable business development experience
  • Excellent relationship-building and client management skills
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with a high level of initiative
  • Financial and commercial acumen
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and experience using CRM/financial systems
  • A solid understanding of health & safety and industry regulations
  • Full UK driving licence
