Are you good at building relationships with retailers and growing accounts? If so, this role could offer you a rewarding step up in your career. This client has several retail customers across different fresh produce categories. They have some strong growth ambitions and are looking for people who can help them on this growth journey. They will offer people progression and reward those who deliver real growth.
You’ll need to be comfortable with the uncomfortable conversations with retailers. Price increases, inflation recovery etc., but all whilst building trust and keeping the customers on side. You’ll look for the opportunities to grow the account into other categories or by identifying gaps in the offering to maximise sales. You won’t be afraid to ask for more business and push for more of the overall basket.
You will be a driven, dynamic individual who is motivated by growing accounts and building relationships with retailers. Yes, there will still be some inevitable headaches around fresh produce and crops which are growing in increasingly challenging conditions, but you’ll get ahead of those early and proactively create solutions for the customers.
