We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Technical Manager to join a leading fresh produce business. This role offers excellent exposure to a major retail customer base and is ideal for someone looking to develop their career within fresh produce and retail technical management. You will support the delivery of retailer technical and ethical requirements across a diverse supplier base, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure food safety, legality, quality, and integrity standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of customer technical requirements for retail accounts
- Assist with supplier approval, monitoring, and ongoing compliance
- Support risk assessments, specifications, and technical documentation
- Help manage non-conformances, complaints, and corrective actions
- Participate in supplier visits and audits where required
- Support ethical trade and sustainability initiatives in line with customer expectations
- Work collaboratively with commercial, technical, and operations teams
About You
- Experience within technical, QA, or compliance in fresh produce or food manufacturing
- Good understanding of food safety, HACCP, and retailer standards
- Confident communicator with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Organised, detail-focused, and keen to develop technically
- Willing to travel occasionally, including regular visits to Spalding
