An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Grower to join a commercial glasshouse nursery specialising in the production of bedding plants and poinsettias. This role is ideal for a technically capable grower who enjoys hands‑on responsibility and takes pride in producing high‑quality ornamental crops within a protected environment.
Working as part of an established growing team, you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day management of crops, from propagation through to finished plants. This is a technically focused position suited to someone confident in making informed growing decisions and managing plant health at scale.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage crops through all stages of production within glasshouse environments
- Technical growing of bedding plants and poinsettias to high quality standards
- Monitor crop health, identify pest and disease issues, and apply controls
- Carry out spraying operations in line with legislation and product labels (PA1 & PA6 essential)
- Manage irrigation, feeding programmes, and climate control systems
- Maintain plant quality, uniformity, and presentation throughout the growing cycle
- Work closely with the wider growing and production team during peak seasonal periods
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Grower or Horticulturist within a glasshouse or protected environment
- Strong technical growing knowledge and hands‑on crop management experience
- Experience growing bedding plants is highly desirable, poinsettia experience an advantage
- Holds PA1 and PA6 spraying licences (essential)
- Comfortable working with irrigation and climate control systems
- FLT and full UK driving licences are beneficial but not essential
- Reliable, detail‑focused, and able to work independently and as part of a team
