What's the Job?
You'll be responsible for managing and growing existing customers while identifying and securing new business across the region.
Day to day, you'll be
- Visiting customers across Northern England
- Building relationships with independent retailers and regional groups
- Identifying and opening new accounts
- Developing existing customers through additional listings and seasonal opportunities
- Presenting a broad range of garden products
- Building and managing an active sales pipeline
- Planning your territory and maintaining a consistent customer visit schedule
- Working closely with the wider sales and support team
- Attending relevant trade shows and industry events
What do I need?
- Previous field sales, territory management or business development experience
- A track record of winning new customers and developing existing accounts
- A proactive approach and confidence creating your own opportunities Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- The organisation and self-motivation to manage a large territory
- Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach
Experience selling into garden centres or independent retailers would be useful, but it isn't essential.
You might already work in garden products, homewares, DIY, pet products, gifts or another product-led sector.
What matters most is that you're a genuine salesperson who wants to get out, meet customers and grow the territory.
