Inventory Operations Manager | Lincolnshire | £DOE

An exciting opportunity has come up with an established international business looking for an Inventory Operations Manager to join their team in Lincolnshire.

This is a really good opportunity for someone who is forward-thinking, analytical and keen to build a career in operations, inventory and supply chain. You don't necessarily need to be doing this exact job already, they are open to someone at an earlier stage of their career, including a strong graduate or someone with a few years' experience, who has the right attitude and potential to grow.

The business is looking for someone they can invest in and develop, giving you the opportunity to build your knowledge and take on more responsibility as you progress.

You'll work across Supply Chain, Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Finance and Regulatory, helping to make sure materials and products are where they need to be, when they need to be there.

There may also be opportunities for international travel as you develop within the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Helping to manage inventory, ensuring stock levels are accurate and well controlled.
  • Supporting production planning and making sure schedules meet customer and business requirements.
  • Monitoring production activity and helping to identify where improvements can be made.
  • Planning material and resource requirements.
  • Producing and analysing inventory reports and KPIs.
  • Investigating stock discrepancies and helping to resolve ERP and costing issues.
  • Supporting cycle counting and stock control across different warehouse locations.
  • Supporting inventory audits and returned stock processes.
  • Identifying ways to improve processes, reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Working with different teams across the business to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Providing analysis and reporting to senior management.
  • Over time, taking on more responsibility for leading, developing and coaching others.

About You

You could be a recent graduate looking to start your career, someone with a couple of years' experience in supply chain, operations, manufacturing or inventory, or an experienced candidate looking for an opportunity to develop further.

We're particularly interested in people who are:

  • Forward-thinking and naturally curious, with a genuine interest in how businesses operate.
  • Analytical and comfortable working with data and numbers.
  • Organised, proactive and good at managing competing priorities.
  • Confident communicating with different teams and building relationships.
  • Interested in continuous improvement and finding better ways of doing things.
  • Keen to learn and take on increasing responsibility.
  • Comfortable working with systems and technology, with ERP experience being beneficial but not essential.
  • Ambitious and looking for a business that will invest in their development.

What Success Looks Like

You'll be someone who quickly gets to grips with the operation, builds strong relationships across the business and starts to identify opportunities to improve how things are done.

Over time, the aim is to develop you into a key member of the wider operations and supply chain team, giving you greater responsibility as your knowledge and experience grows.

The Opportunity

This isn't simply a case of stepping into an established job description and doing the same thing every day. The business is looking for someone with potential who they can develop and build into the role.

You'll be joining an international organisation with the opportunity to work across different areas of the business, develop your career and potentially gain international exposure and travel along the way.

If you're ambitious, commercially minded and looking for a role where you can genuinely grow, I'd be keen to hear from you.
