We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Food & Beverage manufacturer who are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Technician to support their multi-site operation. This is a days-based role offering long-term stability and exposure across several production environments.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, machinery installation, and fault-finding across production equipment, ensuring plant reliability and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine set-up, installation, and commissioning
- Planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Fault diagnosis and repair of production machinery
- Root cause analysis and continuous improvement support
- Fabrication and welding when required
- Pre-maintenance inspections and maintenance execution
- Accurate completion of maintenance records using CMMS
- Adherence to all site health & safety procedures
- Participation in a 1 in 4 on-call rota
Candidate Requirements
- Experience within a Food & Beverage manufacturing environment
- Strong hands-on maintenance and repair experience
- Workshop practice and use of general machine tools
- Fabrication and welding skills
- Working knowledge of industrial utilities (compressed air, steam generation, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Experience using CMMS
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Safety-focused approach
