A forward-thinking Fresh Produce business is seeking a Glasshouse Manager to take ownership of labour control, productivity, and performance across a busy glasshouse operation. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being present in the glasshouse, leading from the front, and supporting teams to deliver consistently high-quality results.
What you will be doing:
- Plan, manage, and control labour to meet glasshouse operational requirements
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and glasshouse teams
- Manage rotas, working hours, productivity, and labour costs
- Ensure high standards of quality across all glasshouse activities
- Monitor performance, output, and task completion, making adjustments as needed
- Work closely with growing and operational teams to align labour with crop plans
- Maintain strong health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times
- Support peak periods, including harvesting and packhouse demand
