Finally, a business that values your opinion.
Ready for a role where you can utilise your skills in large-scale vegetable production?
This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role with a well-established fresh produce farming business.
What\’s the job?
- This role is a great blend of technical and people management.
- You\’ll be at the heart of operations, managing crop production and ensuring best practices are followed across the field team.
- On the technical side, you\’ll be assessing plant health, creating crop production plans, spray programmes and ensuring that processes are the best they can be.
- You\’ll manage crop traceability, ensuring compliance with LEAF, Red Tractor and SEDEX.
- On the people management side, you\’ll be leading a team of 50+ staff at harvest, keeping them motivated and ensuring high standards across productivity and quality.
- You\’ll be working closely with the team to ensure the best yields and quality for broccoli and cauliflower crops.
About you
- You\’ve got hands-on experience in farming, ideally with vegetable crops, and you\’re confident in managing a team.
- You\’re a strong communicator, and you\’ll want to pass on your knowledge to the team around you.
- Knowledge of broccoli and cauliflower is a plus, but a willingness to learn is just as important.
- A full UK driving licence is essential, and PA1/PA6 would be great, too. This isn\’t essential though, as training can be given.
