What’s the job?
You’ll join the office‑based team, learning the commercial side of the business while supporting existing customers and gradually getting involved in sales activity. You don’t need to be a finished salesperson; they’re looking for a passion for horticulture and a drive to learn.
Day to day, you’ll be:
- Handling customer enquiries and preparing quotations
- Learning how orders are processed and managed through to delivery
- Supporting existing customers and building new relationships over time
- Advising customers on plant selection and availability
- Working closely with the team to keep everything running smoothly
- Supporting new product ranges and learning what drives sales
- Visiting key customers
- Attending trade shows
- Working closely with the sales manager to create a business development plan
You’ll start by learning the business inside out, then gradually take on more responsibility, including account management and business development.
