Agricultural Engineer | Fresh Produce | Real Variety, Real Impact
If you'd rather be out on the fields fixing irrigation than sat behind a desk, this one's worth a look.
MorePeople are recruiting an Agricultural Engineer on behalf of one of the UK's leading fresh produce growers - and this role is built for engineers who want their work to mean something you can see, taste, and put on a plate.
Why engineers who love this side of the industry rate this business:
- Field-to-fork impact - the kit you maintain keeps fresh produce moving from field to shelf. Real, tangible output, not abstract widgets.
- Genuine variety - mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault-finding across a wide range of agricultural machinery and equipment, plus fabrication and welding along the way.
- Seasonal rhythm - busy through planting and harvest, focused planned maintenance in the quieter months. No two weeks look the same.
- Scale and investment - a large, well-resourced operation running modern equipment, so you're working with proper kit, not making do.
- You're part of the supply chain, not just the workshop - your work keeps a major fresh produce operation running, and that visibility means your contribution actually gets noticed.
What you'll bring:
- Experience as an agricultural, plant, or mechanical engineer
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills
- Welding/fabrication experience an advantage
- A proactive, hands-on approach - happy working independently
- Full UK driving licence
What's on offer:
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience
- Stable, long-term role with a major name in UK fresh produce
- Genuine progression opportunities within a large group
- Hands-on variety, every season
If you're an engineer who wants real-world impact, modern equipment, and a job that changes with the seasons, we'd love to hear from you.
