Morena is an all-day dining restaurant inspired by the flavours of Latin-America. The menu operates across brunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, with an exciting & innovative selection of dishes.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in Belgravia. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen, maintain high food quality standards, and support the training and development of the kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Head Chef in the daily management of the kitchen operations.
- Assist in menu preparation and food production while maintaining high standards.
- Be responsible for placing food and kitchen supply orders and managing stock levels.
- Train, supervise, and support the kitchen team to maintain consistency and efficiency.
- Ensure all food hygiene, health, and safety standards are followed.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation.
- Help maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards.
- Ability to manage stock and place supplier orders.
- Experience in training and supporting kitchen staff.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
5 working days per week, 45 hours per week. 2 days off per week.
