Responsibilities
- Lead and engage adult groups in effective and sustainable weight loss strategies, dedicating 80% of time to direct delivery.
- Implement a multi-component program with an action-oriented approach, ensuring full participant engagement.
- Utilize psychological coaching techniques, including motivational interviewing and mindfulness, to help clients overcome barriers and achieve weight loss goals.
- Facilitate interactive sessions on physical activity and healthy eating, supporting participants in setting realistic behavioural change goals.
- Promote an inclusive and positive atmosphere tailored to individual needs, while maintaining regular communication with participants, including follow-ups for absentees.
- Conduct evaluations of program success, manage data collection and reporting, and adhere to safeguarding procedures to ensure participant safety and continuous improvement.
- Support the administration process for client engagement, including organizing accurate record keeping and conducting evaluations of program success while adhering to safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications
- A degree (or degree equivalent) relevant qualification in Nutrition, Dietetics, Health Promotion, Education, Psychology, Physical Education, Sport & Exercise, or a related field.
- Experience in motivational interviewing and using CBT techniques, particularly in dealing with individuals facing sensitive issues.
- Experience working with adults and children in group facilitation and coaching settings.
- Proficient in accessing and utilizing IT systems effectively.
- Driver's licence preferred.
