Job Purpose:

About the Role:

The Partnerships and Engagement Officer will act as the external face of the Durham service, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, community organisations, schools, healthcare professionals, commissioners, and referral partners. You will lead on engagement, communications, and promotional activity to raise awareness of Morelife services and ensure recruitment and engagement targets are achieved. The role involves developing engagement plans, coordinating community outreach activities, supporting marketing campaigns, analysing referral and engagement data, and working closely with internal teams to maximise the impact of our programmes across Durham.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engagement, communications, and outreach activities to increase awareness of Morelife services, develop new partnerships, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, community organisations, schools, healthcare providers, and referral partners.
  • Act as a local ambassador for the Durham service, representing Morelife at meetings, networking opportunities, campaigns, and community events, while promoting the service and supporting participant recruitment and engagement.
  • Monitor referral activity, engagement performance, stakeholder feedback, and service outcomes, producing reports and insights that support continuous improvement and achievement of contractual KPIs.
  • Support the development of marketing and promotional materials, including social media content, website articles, leaflets, blogs, press releases, videos, and community resources that effectively reach target audiences.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, commissioners, local authorities, and external partners to deliver engagement strategies, identify opportunities for service growth, and ensure the successful delivery of healthy lifestyle programmes across Durham.

What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Partnerships and Engagement Officer. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, experience, and skills:

  • Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent experience, ideally within public health, community engagement, communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience of building and maintaining partnerships with a wide range of organisations, including healthcare providers, voluntary and community organisations, local authorities, schools, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience of developing and delivering engagement, communications, marketing, or community outreach activities, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and IT skills, including experience maintaining records, monitoring performance, producing reports, and using Microsoft Office applications and digital communication platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and represent Morelife professionally within the community.
