Morek is a young, dynamic organisation with ambition to grow. Our small, specialist team punches above their weight delivering innovative solutions for an international client base. We are proud of our environmental values and are looking for talented individuals who share these.

We are looking for a capable and driven candidate in the early stages of their career (2-4 years) to join our team as a project engineer. You will be a key part of project delivery and can expect exposure to a wide range of projects and technology in the marine environment. We will encourage you to innovate and bring your own creative skills whilst also providing the training and structure to develop your technical skills.

Your Responsibilities

  1. You will be involved in project delivery, commonly applying learning and knowledge to tackle technical challenges.
  2. You will produce technical documentation for our customers, including 2D and 3D CAD, calculations, simulations (structural, hydrodynamic, and hydrostatics).
  3. As a small organisation, your input will be crucial in the running of the business with opportunity to develop specific responsibilities based on your strengths.
  4. You will be responsible for always maintaining a consistently high level of quality of output; as such, a strong appreciation and demonstration of quality is required.
  5. We encourage participation in our offshore projects; this could be as offshore engineering support or supervisory roles.

Your Profile

  1. We are looking for a highly capable individual with a background in either offshore renewables or offshore oil and gas.
  2. For this role, degree level education is required; a minimum of BEng in an engineering discipline is required, naval architecture or marine engineering would be preferred.
  3. A capability to demonstrate application of technical knowledge is very important.

Our Offer

  1. Morek Engineering is a principled, conscientious employer working within a vibrant and growing industry. We offer a great opportunity to grow within a dynamic organisation.
  2. We reward staff with competitive salaries, generous annual leave, flexible hours, offshore uplift, and opportunities to train and develop as individuals.
  3. We undertake a wide variety of work, providing rewarding and challenging work.
  4. We are proud to be based in Falmouth, Cornwall, and we would welcome new recruits to join us in Falmouth. However, we would also consider applicants from other areas in the UK to work remote/hybrid with a willingness to travel.
  5. We are an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons.

Required

  1. 2-4 years of experience in a technical delivery role.
  2. Right to work in the UK.
