Role summary
We're looking to hire an experienced Account Director who has a proven track record in managing high-value client relationships and leading successful marketing campaigns. The role involves overseeing multiple client accounts, leading a team of Account Managers, reporting to the business Director and and playing a key role in retaining and growing client work.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of 2-3 Account Managers, providing mentorship, conducting monthly check-ins, weekly status reviews, and training sessions to support their career growth
- Oversee 10 clients, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to retain existing clients and support organic growth
- Transform high-level creative ideas into executable marketing strategies across various channels
- Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing campaigns from conception to implementation
- Collaborate with creative teams to ensure brand consistency and campaign effectiveness across all client projects
- Manage financials for client projects and supplier relationships, ensuring profitability and efficiency
- Identify and nurture client growth opportunities
- Preparing and delivering proposals and pitches both independently and alongside the Director
- Contribute to monthly leadership meetings, focusing on agency growth strategies and operational improvements
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a marketing agency, with at least 2 years in a Senior Account Management or Account Director role
- Proven track record of managing and growing key client accounts
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate client objectives into effective marketing solutions
- A communication expert with a feel for what creative, design and copy will appeal
- Very strong copy writing skills
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and mentoring
- Excellent project management abilities, capable of overseeing multiple complex campaigns simultaneously
- In-depth understanding of integrated marketing strategies, including digital, social, and traditional channels
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and forecasting
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to pitch to C-level executives
- Adaptable and proactive in a fast-paced agency environment
- Passion for financial services marketing and ability to quickly grasp complex products and services
