Morecambe Bay Food Bank supports individuals and families experiencing food poverty and insecurity across the area. We work with partners, volunteers, and local organisations to provide emergency food and wrap‑around support, helping people move beyond crisis with dignity and hope.
The Role
As our manager, you will provide strategic leadership, oversee day‑to‑day operations through the Operations Manager, and work closely with the Board of Trustees to strengthen the long‑term sustainability of the charity. Responsibilities include:
- Lead the development and delivery of the strategy and annual plans
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, community partners, and supporters
- Drive fundraising and income generation to secure the charity’s future
- Increase food donations
- Ensure governance, compliance, safeguarding, and risk management systems are robust
- Represent the Food Bank publicly and act as a key ambassador for the mission
- Foster a positive, inclusive culture that values volunteers and supports staff wellbeing
