Greenwich, South East London - Nursery Room Leader (Baby Room Under 18 Months). £1000 welcome Bonus. Our vibrant, Ofsted outstanding nursery in Greenwich, South East London is currently seeking a Nursery Room Leader for our baby room.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Level 3 (or above) qualified nursery practitioner who is already leading a room or has at least 2 years EYFS nursery experience and is ready to take the next step to Nursery Room Lead.

Working hours
- 38 hours worked over 4 days per week - great for work/life balance
- 7:30am - 6:00pm
- One set day off each week
About the role
As Room Leader, you will:
- Lead and inspire a small team of 3 staff members
- Deliver high-quality care and education for babies, ensuring excellent outcomes for all children
- Plan, set up and evaluate engaging, age-appropriate activities based on children's next steps
- Complete high-quality observations, assessments and learning journeys
- Support, mentor and supervise staff, celebrating strengths and addressing development needs
- Manage day-to-day room responsibilities including annual leave, paperwork and internal training
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety and EYFS requirements are consistently met
- Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
We're looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about early years and baby-room practice
- Has proven leadership or supervisory experience
- Has strong knowledge of the EYFS, Development Matters, safeguarding and child protection
- Is reflective, innovative and keeps up to date with sector developments
- Takes pride in maintaining outstanding standards across their room and team
