Your Mission
We’re looking for a driven, people-savvy UK Field and Event Sales Manager to lead our event-based customer acquisition strategy. You’ll be the person behind the scenes making sure our army of dog-loving Brand Ambassadors are in the right places, saying the right things, and delivering unforgettable customer experiences – all while smashing sales targets. This role is a brilliant mix of field and strategy: from working hands-on with freelancers across the UK, to analysing data and optimising where and how we show up next. You’ll sit in our Growth team and work closely with Marketing, Ops, and Finance to drive impact from every event - big or small. You’ll manage everything from sales coaching, brand compliance, and rota coordination, to forecasting ROI, monitoring P&L, and recommending new regional opportunities. This is a high-ownership, fast-paced role for someone who gets energy from building and improving, thrives in a test-and-learn culture, and is happiest when customers are loving what we do.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and scale our nationwide freelance Brand Ambassador programme
- Own event planning, logistics, and sales delivery across the UK calendar
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing coaching of Brand Ambassadors
- Set and track sales targets, ensuring quality and conversion expectations are met
- Be the guardian of the Years brand at events - from messaging to merchandise
- Build strong operational processes and workflows to support field teams
- Strategically assess event performance and identify new opportunities
- Partner with Finance to manage budget, forecast ROI and report on P&L
- Collaborate with Marketing and Growth to align on messaging and acquisition goals
- Champion our customers and find new ways to improve the in-person experience
Requirements
- Experience managing field sales or ambassador programmes - ideally with DTC or consumer subscription brands
- A commercial mindset: comfortable working with sales targets, ROI metrics, and budgets
- Strong leadership skills with experience coaching or managing freelancers or remote teams
- Great organiser with a bias for action and a natural drive to optimise and improve
- Confident communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment
- A love for dogs is a bonus, but a passion for building a standout customer experience is essential

- Up to 2 weeks working abroad per year (selected roles)
- Monthly recognition through our Yappa of The Month programme
- 1 Volunteer day per year – dog themed or not: it’s your choice
